Cloud Architect – Azure

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, cloud architecture, Kubernetes/AKS, Terraform, DevOps, and CI/CD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-effective cloud solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and define enterprise-scale Azure cloud architectures.
• Lead cloud migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives.
• Design highly available and scalable solutions using Azure services.
• Develop architecture patterns for AKS/Kubernetes, networking, compute, storage, databases, and integration services.
• Define Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards using Terraform.
• Establish cloud security, governance, identity, and compliance best practices.
• Design and implement CI/CD and DevOps strategies across cloud environments.
• Evaluate technical requirements and translate them into scalable cloud solutions.
• Drive cloud cost optimization, performance improvement, and capacity planning.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to DevOps, Platform, SRE, and Development teams.
• Create High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Review existing cloud environments and recommend improvements in reliability, security, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, engineering teams, security teams, and project managers.

Required Skills

• 7–12 years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong hands-on and architectural experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Private Endpoints, Azure Firewall, DNS, and connectivity.
• Experience designing and managing AKS/Kubernetes platforms.
• Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and automation.
• Knowledge of Azure security services including Entra ID, RBAC, Key Vault, Managed Identity, and Defender for Cloud.
• Experience with Azure compute, storage, databases, monitoring, and integration services.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with Docker, Git, Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, and automation.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Azure Landing Zones and enterprise-scale architecture.
• Knowledge of Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of FinOps and Azure cost optimization.
• Azure certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-104, or AZ-400.
• Experience with microservices, API management, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native applications.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should combine strong Azure architecture expertise with hands-on knowledge of Terraform, AKS/Kubernetes, DevOps, security, and networking. They should be capable of owning cloud architecture decisions from design through implementation, while providing technical leadership to engineering teams.
